Apple Bloom CMC Custom Sculpt Commission 2 by Blackout-Comix Apple Bloom CMC Custom Sculpt Commission 2 by Blackout-Comix
Here we have Apple Bloom of the CMC. This is a commission by :iconpaersimon: Still to come is Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. They should by tomorrow hopefully. Once they are all done, I'll post a group photo.

Thanks for looking.

Your sculpts and painting are impeccably neat.

Thanks. Finally get to move onto some new figures after these are done. Already been commissioned to do the rest of the mane 6, so I'm really looking forward to trying out new techniques and improve my method. :)

Do you have anything new in the works?

Something I can't disclose, then maybe a Derpy or RD. I'm having motivational issues though (as usual). I look forward to your other mane sixers.

Can't disclose? oh well. Guess I'll just have to wait then. :)

Thanks again. :)

It's not a pony from the show, so nothing to wait for really. And way to get top billing on EQD's custom post. :D We must collude to bogart that spot (especially since we get lumped in with customs when our stuff is from scratch).

I agree. We must continue to take our rightful place at the #1 spot. Hahaha.

I must admit I'm also slightly miffed about our "from scratch" stuff being lumped in with everything else.

Congrats on your most recent figure making it there as well :D

Already got many ideas on how to improve my next sculpts as well. Cant wait to try them out.

Quick question. I was really curious. About how long was the production time for that last Luna?

Rough guess, 15 hours. (Which was over 1.5 months, speaking of motivational issues). I'm a horrid perfectionist and work slow. I bought some Kato Repel Gel for the next pony, which should speed things up a bit. It keeps clay from bonding wherever you apply it, so I can remove a mane and paint it separately. If I could sculpt show-accurate manes like you do I probably wouldn't need it. :D

1.5 months. Wow. That's dedication my friend. That's pretty cool. I'm absolutely amazed at how much our techniques differ. It's really cool hearing about different approaches. Love your results though. :D

If you didn't mind, I had a quick question on your paint jobs. How do you go about painting? I've tried a few techniques, but I'm not quite satisfied. Yours always turn out so smooth and perfect. Any tips?
