A Blank : WIP

I've been asked by many people for a tutorial. While I don't have time to do a tutorial, I thought I could at least show a WIP of a WIP I am currently doing.

This is what I call "A Blank." This is the stage of creation where the sculpture can be anything I want. At this point, I could make it into any normal adult mare. The last stages will be to add the mane and tail, followed by wings or horn if they are a Pegasus or Unicorn.

There is still a lot of shaping and sanding to do, even to this blank, before I can add the final differentiating features.

For some reason, the clay I use darkens in areas as you can see from the pictures. I wash my hands constantly during sculpting, but still these areas appear. Never been quite sure why.

I've been working on improving my anatomy of the mares and I think I'm getting closer to show accuracy. Still improvements to be made, but it's getting there.

This one will stand 5'' tall when I'm done and is made from scratch from Fimo puppen doll clay.
